Thai on Ski Run is my go to Thai Place in South Lake. It's a cozy restaurant with great service. We went with the Red Curry - Classic Thai red curry with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, & basil. I also had to try the Thai BBQ Pork - Sliced pork marinated with Thai herbs and spices, grilled, and served with spicy lime dipping sauce.

Amazing fried rice and even more amazing fried chicken. If I lived in Tahoe I'd order the fried chicken 3-4 days a week. Can't wait to go back!

Some of the BEST Thai food I've ever had!! We ordered takeout and we could tell this was going to be good food based on how many people were there. Given the number of people, we had to wait about 30-45mins for our food. IT WAS WORTH IT. The pad Thai, garlic tofu, green curry, and basil fried rice were fantastic. It was the perfect apres ski meal, leaving us satiated. On top of that, they have very friendly service. If I lived closer, this would be my go-to Thai restaurant!

Thai on Ski Run was a last minute spot we went to at 5pm because the German spot near Heavenly was jam packed. I'm glad we came because the duck noodle soup was exactly what I needed after a ski day. By the time we left, there was a queue so I'm happy we came early. We also got the basil fried rice and that was pretty good - the portion amount was great too. I'll be back!

This review is mainly for the Fresh Rolls (Vegan). Each order came with 4 huge roles. The peanut sauce was so thick and yummie we asked for seconds. Just for this I'd come back here again if we drive by. Service: fast; it was getting packed shortly after we were seated but everyone was getting their food fairly quickly. Ambience: basic but sincere

FOOD - Crab Rangoon: crab and cream cheese deep fried in wonton wrapper. 4/5 - Pad Thai with Shrimp: rice noodles with eggs, bean sprouts and green onions with crushed peanuts. Good flavor. 4/5 - Red Curry with Chicken: red curry with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, bell peppers and basil. Very good. 4/5 - Beef Thai Basil: Thai chilis, onions, bell peppers, green beans, bamboo shoots, and basil. Great flavor. 4/5 SERVICE: This place was packed so there was a little bit of a wait. Our server was friendly and attentive. 4/5 FINAL THOUGHTS: I would come back. Everything was pretty good. The price is standard for Thai food. My spice tolerance is okay so we ordered everything no spicier than medium. The mild tasted like it had no spice and the medium was hardly a mild. I recommend going more spicier than typically order.

We had a large group of over 20 of us in Tahoe for a work retreat. One of our retreat planners coordinated with the owners to book our reservation for a whole room, and they were happy to oblige! Additionally, they had no problem with requests for vegan options, as the menu was already super accommodating and we were able to order almost anything we wanted! Portions are huge, so the four of us at our table shared two appetizers and two entrees. The fresh rolls were HUGE and came with a delicious peanut sauce. The fried tofu came with a sweet and spicy sauce. The massaman curry was spicy, but not too spicy for the less tolerant ones at our table. Lastly, the vegan pad thai was light but still filling. Wait staff was constantly at our tables refilling our water, and given our group size, our food came out pretty quickly! Considering that this is a touristy area, I didn't expect much from the local restaurant scene, but the prices were fair and the food was excellent!
